Skating in Heels

Finally I get to share this week’s look post that I have been so excited about.  This is the second look from my blog shoot with Tegan Smith and it was a kapow of colourful fun! We shot at the skate park by Kings Beach in Port Elizabeth and I really wanted a very street urban look where the art would leap off the images. We were fortunate enough to find this amazing graffiti wall which created the perfect atmosphere for the shoot. The outfit that I chose was a clash of bold colours as well as complimentary print. I like to dress down cocktail dresses with a t-shirt or knotted shirt for day time looks and to give what would be a “once in a blue moon” piece, more mileage. My dress is a mesh contour Miss Port creation in a bright cobalt blue. My shirt is a plaid shirt from Mr Price in these contrasting colours that marry so well. To accessorise, I added these pink heels, perspex stone necklace wrapped around my wrist as a chunky bracelet and turquoise drop earrings with a gold cuff. I love the ease of this outfit and how it can go from day to night in a second. From the skate park to a dinner with cocktails, pair with bold sneakers in the day and delicious heels at night. Thank you to Tegan for these amazing images, it was such a pleasure to work with her.  Follow Tegan Smith on Twitter @TegzPhotography to see more of her work.
