Compton

While listening to some Kendrick Lamar, prepping for the Miller Boomtown event happening next month (my excitement levels off the charts), I got a rush of attitude that inspired this look post ” On my Compton”.

The look was very easy and comfortable with a mixture of mute and statement.  The over-sized checkered shirt is typical California “gangsta swag”.  I love pairing this with fitted shorts or pants and tucking in the shirt for a little shape.  There is a slight androgyny to this look with the sneakers, buttoned up shirt and pants.  Femininity can always be added, even when going androgynous.  Add quirky pieces like your favourite pair of sunnies or statement neck pieces.  ”Big hair don’t care” was the attitude for the hair in this look, keeping it voluminous, care-free and feminine.
